The first design sketches of Porsche Taycan officially appeared on the InternetJune 29, 2019
The premiere of the 600-hp electric car is scheduled for September in Frankfurt am Main.
Serial production of electric vehicles is scheduled to begin at the end of this year. The car, which comes off the assembly line, will actually be similar to the Mission E concept presented at the motor show in the French capital (2016). In this case, production cars will be equipped with standard rear doors (on the concept they are hinged) and a slightly modified body kit with improved aerodynamic qualities.
The cabin of the electric vehicle will be equipped with at least four large-sized monitors. The dashboard is fully digital, the multimedia installation is equipped with a touch screen.
Porsche Taycan is equipped with a pair of electric motors, one of which is “engaged” in the rear axle, the second – in the front. Motors are similar to those used in the design of the sports prototype of the hybrid type Porsche 919 Hybrid. The total power of the power units is 600 horses. They operate in conjunction with the onboard system of 800 volts.
A new electric car from the spot is accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. power reserve with a single charge is an average of 500 km. If you use a special system of fast recharging, then 15 minutes is enough to create a power reserve of 400 km.
