The first deliveries of Audi e-tron in Germany are postponed to February?January 9, 2019
At the end of last year, an official presentation of the 100% environmental crossover from Audi took place. The first deliveries were scheduled for the end of 2018, but apparently something went wrong and the brand management pushed back the deadlines.
For those who may not yet be aware, the Audi e-tron is a fully electric crossover of the German brand. In the form of fully serial performance, the electric car was shown at the end of last year – the presentation was held as part of a special event in San Francisco (USA).
Earlier, representatives of the German premium brand said that the first deliveries of Audi e-tron crossovers to customers from Germany are scheduled for the end of last year. Back in October 2018, it became known that the dates were likely to be slightly shifted.
Now, reliable information has appeared that those who ordered a German, completely ecological novelty will have to wait a little longer. Apparently Audi company needs more time to start deliveries.
It is noteworthy that motorists of several countries should have received their copies of the electric crossover from day to day. According to foreign analyst Matthias Schmidt, the first customers in Germany can receive their Audi e-tron in February.
The prestigious novelty is built on the modular platform MLB Evo. The crossover is 4 901 mm long, 1 935 mm wide, –1 616 mm high. The size of the wheelbase is 2 928 mm. Under the hood there are two asynchronous electric motors (one on each axis), the total power of which is equal to 408 hp, and the maximum torque is 664 Nm.
I note that according to the plans of the leadership of the American brand Tesla, in February of this year, sales of their all-electric Model 3 sedan should start, so the guys from Audi need to hurry if they want to get “their piece of the pie.”
Not so long ago, we wrote that the “charged” Audi RS Q3 2020 model year will receive at least 400 “horses.”
