The final teaser Bentley Mulliner Bacalar hints at a form without a roofMarch 2, 2020
This collection grand tourer, whose premiere will take place tomorrow, March 3, will be released in a limited edition and will have an impressive price tag. The novelty is now nicknamed the most expensive new Bentley car.
Bentley and Mulliner are preparing a public premiere of the Bacalar collector’s model on the Continental GT chassis. The day before the official presentation, the final teaser was released showing an aerial view of a stylish novelty. When creating the Bentley Mulliner Bacalar, designers turned to the exterior of the conceptual EXP 100 GT, which shows the direction of development of the brand for the next one and a half decades. The concept debuted in 2019, becoming a kind of gift for the 100th anniversary of Bentley.
The fact that the new Bentley is left without a roof (like the McLaren Elva and Ferrari Monza) is also indicated by the fairly compact rear deck. It would be difficult to fit even a soft top here, not to mention a metal roof.
Because of this, the Bacalar should be much lighter than the Continental GT convertible. Such weight loss should have a positive effect on performance. Recall, the Continental GTC accelerates to 100 kph in 3.8 seconds. The cost of a car, according to preliminary data, will be 1.5 million pounds.
