Supercar maker McLaren said that the new representative of its Ultimate Series hypermarket line called Hyper-GT will have a top speed of over 391 km / h (243 miles per hour). It is this characteristic that is dedicated to the new official teasers of the novelty.
Prior to this, the fastest McLaren was the legendary F1. It has maximum speed of 391 km/h. The new hypercar, which also received the internal BP23 index, will have something in common with the legend. Its cockpit is also equipped with three seats. The driver’s seat is located in the middle, like the McLaren F1.
The development of the car is in the middle of the road. She is engaged in the division of McLaren Special Operations (MSO). Testing the prototype in the “home” body with camouflage was not yet. The company says that there will be no track versions, no gigs, only a coupe.
Little is known about the power plant. A hybrid layout is expected. As the engine can choose a 4.0-liter turbocharged engine V8. An electric motor will be added to it. The total power can exceed 900 horsepower. Recall that the hypermarket McLaren P1, which is no longer produced, a hybrid plant produced 903 hp and 900 Nm of torque.
The company McLaren promises to hold the world premiere hypercar Hyper-GT at the end of this year. The circulation of the novelty will be only 106 copies. As the producer claims, pre-orders with deposits have already been collected for the entire circulation. The cost of a Hyper-GT is 1.6 million pounds. The first copies of the buyers will receive early next year.
