The fastest BMW 8 Series showed without camouflageDecember 4, 2018
On the German site German Car4um published photos of the coupe BMW M8 new generation, in which the car is captured without camouflage. As expected, the official premiere of the novelty will be held in the spring of 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show.
Judging from the photographs, the “charged” modification of the revived “eight” will differ from the usual model with four branch pipes of the exhaust system, special aluminum wheels, and carbon fiber body elements, including the hood, exterior mirror housings and a rear spoiler.
According to preliminary data, the BMW M8 will be equipped with a modernized 4.4-liter V8 unit with two turbines, which in the standard version will produce about 600 hp, and in the extreme version of the Competition – about 630 horsepower. The coupe can accelerate from zero to 100 km / h in about three seconds.
Recall, sales of the usual BMW 8-Series of the new generation have already started. The coupe is available with a three-liter diesel six-cylinder engine, developing 320 hp and 680 Nm of torque.
The top version of the 8-Series comes with a 530-horsepower 4.4-liter V8 gasoline engine, allowing the coupe to gain the first 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds.
