The company Ares Design, which is led by the former head of Lotus, Dani Bahar, presented the prototype of the sports car Project Panther. The presentation of the car, made in the style of the classic sports car of the 1970s De Tomaso Pantera, was held at the headquarters of the brand in Modena. This is reported by AutoClassics.
Project Panther is built on the chassis of the Lamborghini Huracan. He has a unique body created by Ares Design’s own efforts. At the same sports car is 10 centimeters long than the original De Tomaso Pantera, and its wheelbase is stretched by 12 centimeters.
The car has received retractable in the front fenders LED lights and body panels made of carbon fiber. The Project Panther salon retained the overall architecture of the donor machine: chairs, the location of controls. The interior decoration uses carbon fiber, alcantara and leather.
The technical side of the project in Ares Design has not yet been disclosed. We only know that the power of the sports car’s engine will be about 650 horsepower, and the car itself will be 100 kilograms lighter than the Huracan.
Production of Project Panther will begin in mid-February this year. The price of the car will be 750 000 euros. Nine copies of the sports car are already sold by pre-order.
In addition to the sports car, the Ares Design line has an exclusive X-Raid SUV built on the basis of Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG. At the car the new body executed in style of passenger cars of models of a German mark, 760-strong motor V8 in volume of 5,5 liters and the new interior finished with a carbon fiber and a skin.
