The European debut of the Chinese crossover Aiways U5 postponedFebruary 28, 2020
The Chinese SUV will reach Europe no earlier than mid-2020.
The Aiways U5, which is comparable in size to the Hyundai Santa Fe, will be available for purchase in Europe later this summer. From August 2020, this electrocross can be found in Switzerland, France, Norway, Denmark and other countries. In all these regional markets, a promising startup from Shanghai plans to introduce a sales support and after-sales service model. The Aiways U5 specification for Europe will debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, at which time the automaker will unveil its first European partners. Deliveries of new items to Europe were supposed to begin in April, but due to an outbreak of coronavirus in production in China, there was a hitch.
As for the European sales strategy, the brand is going to offer customers several options at once – from direct purchase to leasing and subscription.
In order for Europeans to become better acquainted with the new product, Aiways is preparing a special website with many features. Here you can not only find out details about the new electric car, but also order a test drive or choose a convenient subscription. Also, the plans of the Chinese brand include the creation of their own showrooms throughout Europe. For example, in Germany, the first Aiways partner will be Euronics, a electronics company.
After-sales service Aiways U5 are also going to build on a partnership basis. In the same Germany, the Chinese are going to interact with the famous network of independent workshops A.T.U. The manufacturer also plans to conduct seminars in each country.
