The entire run of the 612-horsepower crossover Alpina XB7 sold out in the USA
August 12, 2020In the USA and Canada, the entire edition of the largest tuning crossover from Alpina was sold out in a few days.
Simultaneously with the opening of pre-order for the new Alpina XB7, the production of the flagship crossover has also started. However, in the very first days, the entire edition of the model, planned for 2020, was sold out in the United States and Canada. At the same time, it is possible to purchase a car from a dealer of the brand without any problems, but it is no longer possible to place an order for the configuration desired by the client.
The Alpina XB7 is based on the flagship BMX X7M. This means that under the hood of the crossover is a gasoline V8 with two turbines with a capacity of 612 hp. and 800 Nm of torque. With such a power unit, the car accelerates from standstill to 100 km / h in just 4 seconds, and its maximum speed reaches 290 km / h.
The novelty from Alpina differs from the “usual” BMW X7M in a reconfigured gearbox, a modified all-wheel drive system and a limited slip differential, as well as a reconfigured air suspension. The car also received powerful Brembo brakes and special body struts. The base Alpina XB7 costs a minimum of $ 142,295 in the US. The company plans to collect 2,000 of these cars a year.
