The English football player broke a window in his car with a stone and received a new car from the clubJanuary 23, 2020
Ipswich club striker James Norwood was forced to throw a stone at his car window to avoid a fine.
“We have a large penalty for being late for training, so it was cheaper to break the window,” Norwood said in an interview with BBC Sport.
“Going to a training session, I turned on the heating in the car to defrost the window. I closed the door and it closed.
The keys remained in the car, and I could not return to the house. I stood on the street at minus 5 degrees, until I had a bright idea – to break the window.
The first stone thrown out the window bounced. I tried to throw the stone harder, but later let it go and hit the door, which now has a strong dent.
Only on the third attempt did I manage to break the window, “Norwood told the story.
After the story became known, the club provided Norwood with a replacement car. The player posted a photo of the silver Audi R8 along with the caption: “Thank you for this beast as a replacement for the car. My luck has subsided.”
