The chief designer of Mercedes-Benz Gordon Wagener published in his Instagram a video that gives an idea of the conceptual electric supercar Aesthetics Progressive Luxury. The premiere of the car will take place at the Elegance Competition at the American Pebble Beach.
A single prototype is designed to recall the famous racing cars of the German brand of the 1930s, including the Mercedes-Benz W125. In 1938, on this car, the German racer Rudolf Caracciola set a speed record on the ground, accelerating on the highway between Frankfurt and Darmstadt to 427.9 km per hour.
According to preliminary data, Aesthetics Progressive Luxury will be equipped with an electric power plant of a new generation, which will be more productive than the one used on the supercar SLS E-Cell. This car was equipped with four electric engines with a total capacity of 750 hp and batteries for 60 kilowatt-hours.
Autumn at the Paris Motor Show will premiere the new electric crossover Mercedes-Benz EQ C. The prototype of this car was equipped with two electric motors with a total output of 300 kW (408 hp), located on the front and rear axle. The crossover is capable of accelerating from place to 100 km / h in less than five seconds.
