The Dorcen G60S crossover and E20 electric car come out in a seriesDecember 31, 2018
Incredibly quickly, the company established in 2018, owned by the energy holding Jiangsu Jintan Changdanghu, managed to enter the market. Cars built on the basis of the platform from Zotye.
The new Dorcen G60S crossover is based on the 2015 Zotye Domy X5 model. The car differs from the original model in everything except the platform, independent rear suspension, as well as the transmission and part of the engine range. The body was built and developed completely from scratch, and not only the external part was changed, but also the carrier with the form of glazing, doorways and the form of racks.
The interior is also built according to its own design and partly resembles the style of Mercedes. The main element will be multimedia and control panel in the style of MBUX. Under the hood, a 1.5-liter turbo engine for 150 horsepower will be used, inherited from the donor, but working in tandem with other transmissions, including the manual and automatic transmission.
Another novelty from the company Dorcen was a compact electric car, made in the corporate style with narrow head optics, as well as “cheeks” with integrated DRLs. The car is also built on a loan platform from Zotye Domy Zema. There are fewer changes, and the exterior design differs only in the front and rear parts, and the interior has been redesigned to take into account the use of more expensive materials and richer equipment.
An electric motor for 54 (145 Nm of torque) or 68 (165 Nm) horsepower can be installed under the hood of a compact electric vehicle. Estimated battery capacity will be 28 kW * hours, which will provide approximately 250 km of run.
We also note that in the near future, Zotye cannot be blamed for plagiarism. The Chinese brand is going to move away from the role models of famous brands and create something fundamentally new.
