The debut shots of the Volkswagen Arteon station wagon appeared onlineJanuary 14, 2020
The Chinese press released a photo of the Volkswagen Arteon station wagon, which is supposed to acquire the name Shooting Brake. The car in cross-variation was captured at the FA JV-Volkswagen joint venture.
The assembly of the Volkswagen Arteon station wagon – it is sold as a SS in the local market – will be established at the FAW-Volkswagen assembly plant in Changchun. Judging by the pictures, the Shooting Brake will receive both regular and all-terrain variation – Chinese correspondents call it Travel Edition. On the technical side, the model will be similar to the Superb Scout, which in Europe is offered with 2.0 TDI engines (190 hp) and 2.0 TSI (280 hp).
Superb is equipped with an all-wheel drive system and an off-road kit of unpainted plastic. Ground clearance is small – only 164 mm. In the list of cross-versatile driving profiles, there is an additional Off Road mode, which allows excessive wheel slippage, and under the bottom – protection of the motor and suspension elements.
It follows that the model will be available with a 2-liter power unit with a capacity of 280 and 190 hp. respectively, and in the first case, the engine operates on 98 gasoline, and in the second – on 95. Transmission – The DSG 7-band robotic transmission is uncontested.
