The compact crossover Volkswagen T-Cross, which in the line will be located below the model T-Roc, will be presented this fall at the Paris Motor Show. Earlier there were rumors about the premiere in spring in Geneva.
The German concern Volkswagen plans to form a crossover portfolio of 19 models by the end of the decade. Now crossovers occupy a share of 40 percent of total sales. The future T-Cross will play a huge role in this respect due to lower price, cheaper operating costs and stylish design. He will be at the very bottom of the model line.
Over the past 12 months, the compact crossover market has been flooded with new products from Kia, SEAT and Citroen. In the near future there will be rivals from Skoda and Lexus. Therefore, T-Roc will not just beat off its market share from competitors.
Volkswagen T-Cross is built on the MQB platform from the new Polo. This architecture allows the installation of hybrid power plants. The compact will receive some design elements from a T-Roc, including the integrated design of the headlights in the grille.
