The debut of the crossover Jeep Compass 2022 model yearNovember 20, 2020
The official presentation of the updated Jeep Compass crossover took place in China. Among other things, the new 2022 model year received a significantly changed interior.
Jeep unveiled an updated version of its Compass compact crossover at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China these days. At the moment, there are two official images of the updated crossover, which show a subtle redesign of the exterior. The front end matches what we saw in previously published “spy” photos that showed prototypes of the novelty, as well as in official teasers. The headlights have acquired a new, narrower shape, and the new false radiator grille has received thin slots. It is reported that the Chinese version of the crossover will be equipped with LED headlights and we may notice redesigned taillights.
The biggest changes are inside the car – Jeep has completely redesigned the interior.
The entire dashboard is redesigned with an extended 10.1-inch infotainment screen that “floats on top”. It sits above thin vents that are now square in shape. Below are the physical controls for the climate control (HVAC). A new 10.25-inch dashboard, new steering wheel and center console design are available.
The updated Compass in the Chinese version will be powered by a 1.3-liter turbocharged engine that will work with a nine-speed automatic transmission. This is significantly less than the 2.4-liter supercharged powerplant offered in the Compass version for the US market and develops 180 horsepower (237 Nm).
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that the Jeep Renegade cross received a new special version. The Jeep Renegade crossover has got a new special variation called the Bronze Edition.
