The company Kia will bring to the motor show in Paris, which opens in October, an electric version of the crossover Niro for Europe. Sales of new items will begin right after the motor show. European car customers will be offered in two versions, reports Autocar.
The basic version of the Kia Niro EV is equipped with a block of lithium-polymer batteries with a capacity of 39.2 kWh, which allow the crossover to pass without recharging 200 kilometers.
The top version is equipped with batteries at 64 kWh, thanks to which the maximum mileage is increased to 450 kilometers. When using a 100-kilowatt fast charge system, the battery reserve can be replenished up to 80% in 54 minutes.
All-terrain vehicle was equipped with an electric motor, developing 204 hp and 395 Nm of torque. The unit allows the electric car to accelerate from place to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds. For comparison, the power unit of the hybrid modification Niro gives 141 power and accelerates the crossover to 100 km/h in about 11 seconds.
Previously, Kia said that the company has already received more than 5,000 orders for Niro EV in South Korea. In addition, representatives of the brand noted that in 2017 they managed to sell almost 24 thousand hybrids Niro PHEV.
