Crossover of the third generation, which will appear in two years, will receive several hybrid modifications
The company Nissan will release a crossover Qashqai of the third generation in 2020 and will offer a model with hybrid power units. This is with reference to the vice president of product planning of Nissan in Europe Ponza Pandikutiru reports Auto Express.
According to the top manager, the new Nissan Qashqai will be offered both with the usual petrol-electric power plant, and in the form of a plug-in hybrid. The Japanese will have to develop a new platform for the third Qashqai. It is possible that this will be a substantially modified version of the current chassis of the CMF alliance Renault-Nissan.
Pandikutira stressed that the new Nissan Qashqai will not have a fully electric version, as the development of such a modification will be too expensive. At the same time earlier it was reported that Nissan intends to develop a compact electric crossover, which will be an independent model.
