The cult Tucker 48 in excellent condition will go on saleNovember 29, 2019
In the USA, an auction will be held on January 17-18, at which the cult Tucker 48 sedan of the 1948 production year of the Waltz Blue Metallic shade will be sold.
The circulation of this car is only 51 copies. Many of the cars produced have survived to this day, and cars in good condition are getting more expensive, like yeast, and the most rare are cars painted in the original Waltz Blue Metallic blue. This shade have only 12 units of the model.
Given that the instance with chassis number 1034 is in full factory condition and has never been restored, and its mileage is only 9978 km, we can safely assume that its price will exceed $ 2 million.
The Tucker 48 is a rear-engined frame sedan; its features include doors that go to the roof, a soft, safety instrument panel, seat belts, an anti-theft system, a central rotary headlight, independent suspension of all wheels on elastomers, disc brakes and tubeless tires.
The sedan has the 5.5-liter boxer six Franklin O-335 with a capacity of 168 hp. Together with the engine, a 4-speed manual transmission with an electric vacuum gearshift drive operates. The original Tucker-Matic CVT with two torque converters received only 3 copies of the model, however, alas, this sedan was not among them.
