A new, very ambitious player has appeared on the Chinese car market – this is Evergrande Hengchi New Energy Automobile Technology, a member of the Evergrande Group conglomerate. The company plans to take a leading position in the electric transport segment.

At the end of the summer, the company introduced the public to six of its Hengchi electric vehicles at once. All of them will be on the assembly line in 2021, and an incredible assembly speed for automatic lines is declared – one car per minute. The firm owns two factories, one of which was built in Shanghai and the other in Guangzhou.

These factories, equipped with the most modern equipment, employ more than 2.5 thousand robots. Mass production of electric cars is scheduled for the second half of 2020. Manual labor will be minimized here. Thanks to this, it will be possible to reach an assembly speed of up to one electric car every minute.

Evergrande plans to open new production sites around the world and achieve annual production figures of 1 million vehicles by 2025. In another ten years, this figure should rise to 5 million cars.

In total, the Chinese promise to bring to the market 14 models under the Hengchi brand (perpetual speed).

The company will initially offer customers three electric crossovers, two battery-powered sedans and one minivan. The amount of investments that the brand has directed to production reaches $ 2.14 billion. At the same time, the company plans to cooperate with the largest suppliers.

Earlier it became known that Ford will increase production of the F-150 electric pickup truck. This will happen against the background of high demand for the new product. The Ford dealership expected the excitement around the car, but not at such a strong level.
