The Chinese will build a diesel-electric hypercar for the trackFebruary 20, 2018
Chinese company Techrules has published the first image of the track modification of the Hypercar Ren with a diesel-electric power plant. The public premiere of the car will take place in March at the Geneva Motor Show.
The novelty is the racing version of the road hypercar, Ren, introduced in 2017. From the civil version of the RS-version is unique single seat in the cabin and aerodynamic body kit.
The top version of the Techrules Ren is equipped with six electric units – four behind and two in front, which together give out 1305 horsepower. The diesel engine acts as a power reserve magnifier – a generator that recharges a block of lithium-ion batteries for 28 kilowatt-hours.
Hypercar can accelerate from a place to 100 km/h in less than three seconds, and its maximum speed is 330 km per hour. With a fully fueled tank of 80 liters, the car can drive up to 1170 kilometers.
At the moment, Techrules is looking for partners who can help a Chinese company to set up a small-scale production of such cars.
