The new model of the Mazda CX-8 crossover is the youngest version of the flagship model CX-9. The car is built on a similar platform and has a number of similar solutions in design. Previously it was assumed that the model will be produced exclusively for the domestic market, but now it can be purchased in Australia, and very soon in China.

The serial production at the Changan-Mazda joint plant has already begun, and dealers from the Middle Kingdom are already waiting for the first deliveries. But it is noteworthy that the Chinese version was the largest of the original. The length of the model is 4,955 mm (+55 mm), width – 1,842 mm (+2 mm), height – 1,733 mm (+3 mm), the distance between the axes is 2,930 mm. Also note that the CX-8 is available in a three-row configuration, designed for seven people.

As a power unit under the hood is installed brand engine line Skyactiv-G 2.5 liters. The power unit is able to develop up to 192 horsepower, and in tandem with it the classic automatic transmission works in six speed. The model is available with front or all-wheel drive.

It should also not be noted that the model has a modern exterior and interior design, made in the modern Mazda corporate style. A distinctive feature of the model was a massive hexagonal grille, narrow optics, a wide chrome insert under the grille, as well as minimized air intakes on the front bumper.

The interior is nothing special from other Mazda models. In the photos we see that the front panel will receive a fairly large display of the infotainment system, the trim will be made of eco-leather, and the system of starting the motor from the button will be installed.

The list of standard and optional equipment includes a fully LED front and rear optics, a projection on the windshield, a glass roof with a hatch, a video review system at 360 degrees, as well as adaptive cruise control and active security systems.

The cost model in the Chinese market is not reported.
