The Chinese showed two 1073-hp crossover

The company SF Motors, founded by the Chinese group Sokon (engaged in commercial transport), introduced in California two 1073-strong electric crossover, with which it plans in the very near future to enter the market. The release of these cars will be arranged at the former company AM General in Indiana, where previously produced civil SUVs Hummer. In addition, this brand previously acquired a startup for the development of electric power plants, founded by co-founder Tesla Martin Eberhard.

At the moment, the company SF Motors has prepared two crossover – SF5 and SF7. They are built on a single platform, which allows the use of configurations with two, three and four electric motors. This architecture, as well as engines and batteries, the brand designs independently. SF’s own research and development center is located in the US Silicon Valley.

There is no detailed information on the technical stuffing of the machines yet. It is known only that the power of the power plant will be about 1073 forces, and the power reserve will reach 500 kilometers. To first 100 km/h crossovers can accelerate in about three seconds.

The first to enter the market is a compact crossover SF5. It will appear in 2019. Next, a larger model, SF7, will be launched. The prices for cars are supposed to start from 50 thousand dollars.

SF Motors plans to produce about 50 thousand cars a year in the US market and another 150 thousand cars in China.
