GAC Motor showed a streamlined concept Eno.146

GAC has prepared for the Guangzhou Motor Show a prototype of a six-seater car with a record high drag coefficient for the China. In the Chinese concept, it is 0.146 (Cx). For comparison: the Bugatti Chiron has a similar indicator – 0.35, and the streamlining of the Lightyear One record holder – 0.20.

In pursuit of aerodynamic efficiency, the creators of GAC Eno.146 abandoned the usual doors and rear-view mirrors, closed the wheels with flat caps and applied the concept of a “long tail”. The Eno.146 interior is as futuristic as possible: along with four separate seats with a traditional landing formula, the engineers placed the fifth reclining seat in the rear of the prototype and a separate child seat in the center. The child seat differs from the rest in its vertical backrest, anti-travel landing and a four-point seat belt.

The interior demonstrates the “hovering” controls familiar to show cars with a minimum of physical buttons, huge displays across the entire width of the car, “airy” composite materials, and interior space unusual for serial cars.

Nothing is reported about the technical stuffing of Eno.146: judging by the lack of a radiator grill, the prototype should set in motion an electric motor. Autopilot is declared, but the GAC is silent about the level of autonomy. One hundred and forty-six has no serial prospects, but technical solutions of a bold concept are likely to find application in other models.
