The Chevrolet lineup has been replenished with the Groove crossoverOctober 10, 2020
The American brand Chevrolet announces the launch of a new compact crossover Groove. This model is not created from scratch, but is based on the Baojun 510 crossover.
First of all, Groove will be available to Chileans, where they have already started accepting orders for a new model. The brand itself has currently shared only a few images and released some information.
So, externally from Baojun 510 the novelty differs in existence only of other logos and a lattice of a radiator. Dimensions of the car are the same: Groove has a length of 4220 mm, a width of 1740 mm, a height of 1615 mm, and the distance between the axles reaches 2550 mm.
The interior of the Chevrolet also almost completely repeats the Chinese cross. Of particular note is the presence of a digital speedometer and infotainment system, which rises above the “front” touch screen. It is assumed that in the Chilean market Groove will be sold in two versions. The standard version of the LT is equipped with LED DRL, 16-inch wheels, air conditioning, rear view camera. The flagship variation of the Premier is additionally equipped with LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof and air conditioning.
The new cross also borrowed the engine from the Chinese model – it is a 110-horsepower naturally aspirated engine with a capacity of 1.5 liters, but in this case the performance has increased (on the Baojun 510 a similar unit produces 105 hp). Only a 6-speed manual transmission is offered as a transmission. Drive – front only. Note that after Chile, the Chevrolet cross will appear in other Latin American countries, and it will probably be brought to the Middle East.
In addition, it was recently reported that the Chevrolet Silverado HD pickup has received improvements. It should be emphasized that the updated pickup of the American company has already entered the assembly line, and the model will arrive in dealerships by the end of this year.
