Hyundai has updated its compact Encino crossover. The place of presentation of the news was the opening auto show in Chengdu.

Hyundai introduced a restyled version of the Encino crossover, which is considered an adapted and cheaper version of the global Hyundai Kona for the Chinese market. The inhabitants of the Middle Kingdom got acquainted with this model last year. Encino turned out to be a bit larger than the “donor” Kona, but their appearance turned out to be almost identical. Cross for China boasts a “grown” clearance and a softer suspension. After restyling, Encino received a new top-end modification, as well as a special version stylized as Iron Man from the eponymous blockbuster from Marvel. The manufacturer is going to release 999 of such crossovers of a dull gray color with the Iron Man nameplate.

The overall plastic body kit, the original trim on the body of a dark red shade and the inscription “Stark Industries” also rely on such cars.

Under the hood of the Hyundai Encino, one of two turbo engines can be hidden: a 120-liter one, working in tandem with a manual gearbox, or a 1.6-liter one with 177 hp, combined with a seven-speed “robot”. About all-wheel drive is not talking. In addition, the updated SUV received an expanded list of available options and additional equipment. For the budget Hyundai Encino in Chinese car dealerships they ask 129,900 yuan. The top version will cost more – 155,900 yuan
