The characteristics and prices of Toyota Yaris for Europe became knownJuly 30, 2020
The world premiere of the hatchback took place at the end of 2019. Now the car is entering the European market, and in Germany it can already be pre-ordered.
Toyota spoke about the characteristics and prices of the new Toyota Yaris for the European market. Details were announced on Wednesday, July 29th. The car is built on the TNGA GA-B platform with a semi-dependent beam and a drum structure of the rear brakes. The dimensions of the car are 3940x1745x1500 mm with a wheelbase of 2,560 mm. Thus, despite the overall short length, there is sufficient space in the cabin. Unlike the Japanese version, the European Yaris will not receive an all-wheel drive system.
The engine range consists of three engines, but one of them is not available in all European countries – it is a low-power 72-horsepower engine. Base in all EU countries is a 1.5-liter “aspirated” with a return of 123 hp. at 153 Nm of torque. The hybrid powertrain looks more interesting, which is based on a 1.5-liter engine with 92 hp. and is complemented by an electric motor with a return of 80 hp. The main advantages of this modification will be low fuel consumption and low emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere.
On average, 3.7 liters of gasoline are required per 100 kilometers, and emissions are only 85 g / km.
The dashboard is partially digital – we are talking about the screen between the scales. The infotainment complex has a diagonal of 8 inches. From the security systems, we single out the function of automatic braking, adaptive cruise control with recognition of pedestrians and cyclists, as well as automatic high-beam operation.
The first Toyota Yaris in Europe will be received by residents of Germany – there you can already pre-order a car. The basic version will cost 22,215 euros. For a car with a CVT, they ask for 23,287 euros, and for the most affordable hybrid modification you will have to pay 25,139 euros.
