The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing will get carbon seatsSeptember 30, 2020
The American brand has published a teaser image showing the seat of a powerful Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing sedan. According to the accompanying text, two sports seats, which are made of carbon fiber, will be installed in the new cabin.
After it was previously announced that the high-performance sedan Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing will receive a manual transmission, as well as a top speed of 321.8 km / h, another interesting feature about the newest car became known. The American competitor to the “charged” BMW M5 and Mercedes-AMG E63 will have a pair of sporty front seats with a carbon fiber body to further reduce the overall weight of the car.
Although the published teaser photo shows nothing special, Cadillac says that these lightweight seats with the laser-engraved V-Series logo have “other customer-focused innovations and features” that will be revealed later.
There are two holes on the sides of the fixed headrest, which seem to have a glossy black edging.
We remind you that the top CT5 will receive a 6.2-liter V8 with a supercharged power of about 650 horsepower. A manual transmission will be offered as a transmission.
Cadillac says the CT5-V Blackwing will go on sale next summer, but recalls that it will be released in limited editions. Meanwhile, the CT5-V remains the temporary leader in the family, complete with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 producing 360 horsepower (550 Nm).
Not so long ago, we wrote that the Cadillac brand has introduced the XT4 SUV for Europe with diesel. The Cadillac brand on Thursday, September 24, showed the XT4 crossover, which has a 2.0-liter diesel, for the European market. The new modification will go on sale on October 10.
