The Buick Encore crossover will get another version at the end of 2019April 22, 2019
Subcompact crossover will be presented in the performance of a long wheelbase – it was called Encore GX. Detailed pricing information is currently unavailable, but it goes without saying that the GX version will cost more compared to the usual Encore.
Currently, the American luxury brand is optimizing its portfolio to better meet the needs of customers in the two most important regions for themselves – China and the United States. For example, the Encore crossover in the GX version, presented last week at the auto show in the Chinese city of Shanghai, is supposedly for sale in North America.
Pictured here, the Encore GX is the same second-generation crossover, only with a long wheelbase.
While a larger version of the subcompact crossover will be produced in China for the local market, this will not happen with its American sibling. The current US Encore is basically the same Opel / Vauxhall Mokka with a new label imported from South Korea, but at the moment it is not clear where the new GX will come from.
Automotive News reports that the “stretched” version of the model will be sold with the current Encore, and not with the new one introduced in China. The same source continues to mention that the Encore with a standard wheelbase, presented a couple of days ago and built on a new General Motors platform (GEM), General Motors will not be sold in the United States.
The stretched version, heading for the United States, will be located above the standard Encore and below the Enclave model in the Buick lineup – sales start is scheduled for the end of this year. Detailed pricing information is currently unavailable, but it goes without saying that the GX version will cost more compared to the regular Encore, which is offered for $ 23,200.
