The budget version of the Hyundai Creta released under the name KIA KX3January 7, 2019
I think many already know that Hyundai and KIA are practically one company that constantly borrows the technologies and platforms of its brands. Therefore, it is not surprising that a more affordable version of the crossover will be produced under a different name.
KIA is preparing to upgrade its own KIA KX3 crossover, and Hyundai is seeking to release a budget version of Hyundai Creta. It is logical to assume that within the framework of the SP companies can unite, and soon the KX3 model built on the basis of Creta will appear on the market. The current version of the crossover from KIA almost lost demand.
According to preliminary information, the novelty will be presented soon as a model for the 2020 model year. As a basis for the design, the KIA SP concept demonstrated at the Auto Expo motor show at the beginning of 2018 will be used. The cheaper platform from Hyundai will allow the KX3 to enter the market with a more affordable price tag.
As a power unit can be used: 1.0 liter turbo with a capacity of up to 118 forces, as well as an atmospheric 1.6-liter engine for 125 horses. Together with them will offer manual, automatic or a CVT. Four-wheel drive will not be offered.
Unfortunately, the model is intended solely for the market of the Middle Kingdom.
Meanwhile, Kia Optima Sportswagon PHEV will cost from £ 34,995. Soon the company will begin selling the updated hybrid, which will receive a small restyling and additional trim options.
