Redux Leichtbau will launch 30 unique car
The British firm Redux Leichtbau has introduced a BMW M3 restomod in the back of the E30. When building the car, she applied an approach similar to that used by the Singer atelier to produce modern analogs of the classic Porsche 911. The coupe received a reinforced chassis, a more powerful engine, adjustable suspension and a completely redesigned interior with a digital dashboard.
The restoration process of the EM-Third in Redux Leichtbau begins with the analysis of the donor vehicle, straightening the body, if necessary, its cleaning from corrosion and reinforcement. For this, custom metal components are used. Stock engine 2.3 S14 boring up to 2.5 liters, change the connecting rods and pistons, radiator, install lightweight battery, Motec control unit and carbon inlet (for the atmospheric version of the engine). At the request of the buyer, the M3 can be equipped with a turbocharger – in this case, the engine output will be 387 forces and 528 Nm of torque.
The restaurant is equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox with a short-stroke link and a lightweight clutch, as well as a limited-slip differential. Modifying the undercarriage includes installing adjustable EXE-TC struts, anti-roll bars and AP Racing brakes with six-piston calipers in the front and four-piston rear.
Salon BMW M3 can be made in several ways: for daily trips and track days. In the latter case, the coupe is equipped with a safety cage and Recaro racing seats with six-point belts.
Redux Leichtbau plans to collect 30 copies of the M3. Price is not called.
