The British company promises to revolutionize the delivery of goods worldwideJanuary 20, 2020
While large companies are developing self-driving electric trucks, the small British startup Magway offers a completely different approach to logistics. The British are not only going to create a revolutionary technology, but also to become leaders in the e-commerce market.
The essence of the idea is to lay tunnels along which autonomous freight transport will move on a magnetic cushion. According to the idea of Magway, a network of such tunnels will reduce delivery time, as well as completely eliminate harmful emissions into the atmosphere. In addition, this will finally remove the variable from the list in the form of the human factor, weather, traffic congestion and other force majeure scenarios.
Currently, fundraising is underway at the Crowdcube crowdfunding service. Of the required 750 thousand pounds collected almost a million. Magway also announced that grants had been allocated to develop integrated drive technology and two demo tracks at the North Wembley test site.
Fundraising will end in early February. There is no exact information on the project launch dates. At the same time, Magway has already entered the list of hundreds of the best global startups, and is also considered the winner of the British Innovate grant.
