The big Chinese crossover Maxus D60 was shownMarch 1, 2019
The presentation of the new mid-size crossover Maxus D60 was completed just a couple of hours ago.
Chinese brand Maxus, which is part of the automotive giant SAIC, presented its new large crossover with three rows of seats. Perhaps one of its main features is the distinctive appearance – the exterior has got a narrow LED front optics, vertically positioned fog lights, a rather large false radiator grille. I also want to note the diffuser, which is located on the rear bumper, in which there are two pipes of the exhaust system.
But as regards the interior of the novelty, there is nothing to say so far – it simply was not shown to us. However, foreign journalists still managed to make some pictures, though through the glass of the car. So, what we have. A glance immediately notices just the huge screen of the infotainment system, and only then the seats with pronounced lateral support and the front panel, which seems to be covered with eco-leather. Maxus D60 with three rows of seats can accommodate up to 7 people.
The Chinese crossover received 1.3 and 1.5 liters turbocharged engines, the power of which is not yet known.
These units will work with 6-step “mechanics” or 7-step “robots”. Drive probably will only front.
According to the plans of the management of Maxus, the start of mass production of the new crossover is scheduled for the third quarter of this year. So far there is no data on the prices of the car, but it is known that the model will be sold not only in the automotive market in China, but also in other countries.
