The base Porsche Taycan goes beyond ChinaJanuary 20, 2021
The basic version of the Porsche Taycan, which was launched in China in 2020, will appear at the German company’s American dealers in the spring of 2021.
The cost of such a Taycan starts at $ 79,900. For this money, the client will receive a German-made car with a single electric motor driving the rear wheels, with a capacity of 402 hp. (344 Nm). This allows the electric car to accelerate to 96 km / h in 5.1 seconds and accelerate to a maximum of 230 km / h.
By default, the base Taycan has a 79.2 kWh battery that provides a range of 431 km on a WLTP cycle. At the same time, a more capacious battery of 93.4 kW / h is also offered for the model, in this case the autonomy increases to 484 km. You can also order an electric motor that develops not 402, but 469 hp. Despite the increase in power, the acceleration time to the first “hundred” remains the same – 5.1 seconds. The German company says that thanks to its fast charging technology, the battery can be recharged from 5% to 80% in just 22 minutes.
The base Taycan has a slightly modified exterior, 19-inch silver wheels that cover black brake callipers, LED headlights, a 10.9-inch multimedia screen and Porsche Active Suspension Management. Air suspension, 20- and 21-inch wheels, and ceramic-coated brakes will be offered as an option.
In addition, some time ago it was reported that the Porsche 911 Turbo got a 425-hp modification from the Italian tuning company Ares Design. It should be emphasized that this car was created at the request of the client.
