The Audi RS Q8 gets an aggressive design and nearly 900 hp. from the studio ManhartMay 7, 2020
Tuners from Manhart presented their version of the high-performance crossover Audi RS Q8. Novelty, which received the designation RQ 900, will cost 280,000 euros
The Audi RS Q8 may be the fastest and most powerful crossover in the history of the German premium brand, but tuners are constantly finding ways to get even more power from standard engines. After the German company ABT got its hands on a high-performance version of the current flagship crossover Audi at the beginning of this year, now it is the turn of the guys from the tuning company Manhart.
Audi RS Q8 costs 113 000 dollars. Manhart tuners ask for a staggering 280,000 euros for a highly modified version of the full-sized crossover, and only 10 copies of the new product, which received the designation RQ 900, will be collected.
Among other things, a crossover to get a wide aerodynamic body kit and a ventilated carbon fiber hood, the front edge of the spoiler, side skirts, wheel arch extensions and a rear diffuser are also made of this material.
The “charged” crossover received a new set of 23-inch alloy wheels with a two-spoke design, as well as a more efficient exhaust system. Atelier also worked with the suspension of the car, reducing the road height of the crossover by 30 millimeters. Leather and Alcantara upholstery may appear in the cabin, as well as rugs and gold accents.
Needless to say, the biggest changes are under the hood. The 4.0-liter V8 with two turbines, rated at 592 horsepower (800 Nm) now boasts an impressive 887 hp. power and 1080 Nm. The tuners installed larger turbines and other engine modifications. To cope with the extra power, Manhart specialists upgraded the eight-speed automatic transmission, which is responsible for transferring all this power to the Quattro all-wheel drive system.
Although the tuner does not say anything about the performance of its RQ 900 assembly, I note that the standard Audi RS Q8 accelerates to 100 km / h in 3.8 seconds, and its maximum speed is 309 km / h.
