The Arden and HWA teams have signed a partnership agreement
January 22, 2019HWA Racelab participates in the Formula E electric series, however, the interests of the team, it turns out, extend far beyond the limits of one series.
For many years, HWA Racelab participated in the DTM and occupied fairly high positions there. In May last year, the team left the German series to join Formula E. But, as it became known the other day, the interests of the team also touched Formula 2, in which it will work with its new partner.
Interesting fact: the leaders of Arden are Christian Horner, who is also the head of Red Bull Racing, and his father. Not rarely in the team were pilots of the younger team Red Bull Junior. But HWA is almost the factory team of Mercedes. So the tandem is more than intriguing.
HWA manager Ulrich Fritz says that this partnership is an important step and a lot of progress for them. “This is not only a new challenge, but also a great opportunity to demonstrate your experience in motor sports. F-2 for us is a completely new series and the priority at the moment is to help our engineers to learn as much as possible. ”
Earlier there were news that Zhou Guangyu will join Renault in Formula 1 as a test pilot for the development program.
