The appearance of the speedsters Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2 are revealedSeptember 18, 2018
Supercars debuted at a private event, organized for brand customers
At a private event for regular customers, Ferrari introduced two new models: the Monza SP1 and Monza SP2 barchets, built on the supercar 812 Superfast. Machines made in the style of racing Ferrari 1950 will be released in the number of 200 copies.
The photos show that cars are distinguished by the presence of a passenger seat in the SP2, as well as the body color and interior. Both are equipped with a low windshield, embossed fairings, hiding arc safety, racing seats and controls from the 812 Superfast.
There is no information about the power plant. Probably, Monza equipped with a 6.5-liter atmospheric engine V12, as in the original 812. The output of the unit, combined with a seven-stage robot with two clutches, is 800 horsepower. Ferrari 812 Superfast can accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds. The maximum speed is 340 kilometers per hour.
It seems that the general concept of the Monza barquet is borrowed from Ferrari Rossa, which debuted in 2000. The prototype, built by the Pininfarina studio, was equipped with a 5.5-liter V12 engine, the output of which was 485 forces and 568 Nm torque. Supercar could accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.5 seconds. Its maximum speed was 300 kilometers per hour.
