The Americans put on the roof of the Porsche 911 another Porsche
August 22, 2019Atelier Kelly-Moss Road and Race from Fitchburg, Wisconsin, built the Porsche 911 so sturdy that it can withstand another rooftop sports car.
The Americans turned the 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera into an off-road coupe: they increased the wheel arches by seven centimeters, and the front ones also expanded by another 14 centimeters so that massive Good Good tires of 245/65 R17 dimensions could be put on Braid Fuch rims.
The body of the car, which was called Willy, is reinforced with a powerful safety cage, on which the upper trunk is mounted, which is easily able to withstand another Porsche 911. Despite the reinforced design, the coupe weighs only about 1200 kilograms. The suspension uses Eibach springs and Exe-Tc adjustable twin-tube shock absorbers.
The 3.4-liter boxer six-cylinder engine develops 340 horsepower and is paired with a manual gearbox. Willy also received Brembo perforated disc brakes in a circle, new headlights and an LED beam on the roof. Inside the car, you can find the Momo steering wheel and Recaro leather seats.
