81-year-old South African woman Julia Albu drove to her 20-year-old Toyota Corolla on the Cape Town-London route to see her daughter. The total length of the route was 12,070 kilometers. This is reported by Car Throttle.
On the trip Julia pushed discussion at a local radio station, during which it was discussed how much spent on cars, a well-known public figure. She phoned the air and said that she and her Toyota for a couple of hundred years, but they are in excellent condition and are even going to go to London.
After Julia began to call friends, there was nothing else than to go on a trip.
Before the trip to the car installed spacers to increase the ride height, new tires, replaced all rubber bushings and carried out a full maintenance. On arrival in London, Julia in an interview with the British office, Toyota said that her car is the best, and she is not ready to change it for anything else. The only problem she had to face was the loose wheel on the road from Uganda.
