Tesla’s suspension collapsed while driving on the AutobahnOctober 4, 2020
The owner of the Tesla Model S 90D electric car said at a German forum dedicated to the American company that his suspension collapsed while driving on the Autobahn.
A dangerous incident occurred after the electric car braked at a speed of about 200 km / h. The car broke down and the front left lever was disconnected.
The author of the story lives in Switzerland, during the breakdown he was traveling from German Stuttgart to Ziruch. After slowing down, he heard a loud bang, and then noticed clouds of smoke in the mirrors. This happened due to the friction of the tire on the wheel arch liner. At the same time, the car was pulled sharply to the right, and the steering wheel was locked, but the collision was avoided. Later, the owner of the Model S also noticed that the brake hose had broken due to a broken lever.
The electric car was sent by tow truck to the dealer, where it was initially assumed that this could have resulted from natural wear and tear. At the same time, the mileage at the time of the breakdown was approximately 80,000 km, and the car warranty ended in April this year. As a result, Tesla owner was billed for repairs in the amount of approximately $ 8,200.
In addition, it was recently noted that electric vehicles of the American Tesla brand can reach the Indian market next year. It should be emphasized that such a statement was made by the founder of the corporation, Elon Musk.
