Recruitment has already begun. The expansion of the state is associated with the production of a new Model Y crossover at a plant in China.
American electric car manufacturer Tesla on the recruitment of 1,000 new employees at its Shanghai facility. Recall that at the beginning of the year, Tesla shared plans to launch its research and development center in China.
It is expected that 600 people will be employed in the assembly, stamping and painting shops, 150 people will be involved in quality control, 200 new employees will be responsible for logistics, and another 20 for security. Next year Tesla launches production of the new Model Y crossover in China – it is possible that the expansion of the state is connected with this.
Recall that in the second quarter of 2020, the production volume at the Chinese enterprise Tesla showed excellent results – over 30 thousand new cars were put up for sale.
Earlier, Elon Musk announced two new Tesla models. The first novelty should be a compact electric car, the production of which can be localized in China. And the second will most likely be a large van with 12 seats, which will allow Tesla to take its place in this car segment.
