Tesla will revolutionize batteries no earlier than 2022September 22, 2020
The Tesla Battery Day event will be streamed live immediately following the shareholders’ meeting starting around midnight ET on Tuesday, September 22nd.
Tesla’s ability to squeeze every meter of range out of its batteries has given the electric car maker its rightful place in the segment. Tomorrow, CEO Elon Musk will present information on the company’s achievements, as well as share news on what it plans to do next in its never-ending quest to expand its vehicle range.
The so-called Battery Day will begin immediately after the shareholders’ meeting. Tesla will be streaming both events live on its website. Recall that the founder of the company, Elon Musk, announced the event back in early 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic has made its own adjustments. From the event, we expect news about a new battery with an extended service life, which will be more than 1.6 million km, and news about how the company is working to reduce the cost of cells for its batteries.
Musk tweeted, however, that the event would be “very insane,” but later added a caveat that the announced advancements would not hit the market until 2022.
