Tesla will create a car-submarine from the Bond movieJune 14, 2019
The founder of the American company Elon Musk told about the creation of an unusual vehicle during a meeting with shareholders.
Tesla, known for its electric vehicles, has developed a draft submarine car. The developers took the underwater supercar of James Bond, a cinema secret agent named codename 007, as the basis of the amphibious car. Ilon Mask spoke about the new development in response to a question from one of the participants in the meeting of shareholders. According to the founder of Tesla, engineers have already worked on the design of this kind of car.
At the same time, Musk noted that he does not expect consumer excitement around a potential novelty. However, those who wish to purchase a car-submarine, can be called enthusiasts. In the meantime, we are talking about the possible manufacture of only one exhibition sample. No other details were announced.
Back in 2013, at one of the London auctions, Musk bought the Lotus Esprit car, which “played” the submarine in the James Bond film. This purchase cost him nearly $ 1,000,000. Subsequently, Musk told about the disappointment that had befallen him: in reality, the car could not transform into a “submarine”.
