Tesla will change the interiors of its electric carsJuly 31, 2018
The publication of Electrek was rendered by the updated interior of the Tesla Model S and Model X. The American manufacturer plans to use them on the production machines from next year. Apparently, Tesla aims to bring the design of the salons of electric cars to a uniform, minimalistic style, similar to that used in Model 3.
The main feature of Tesla’s interiors will still be a huge central display. After the upgrade, it becomes frameless and will change the vertical orientation to horizontal. In addition, Model S and Model X will receive an innovative ventilation and heating system for the passenger compartment with a single narrow deflector instead of traditional air ducts.
In addition to the front panel, other interior elements will be further developed. In particular, the company wants to use higher quality materials for finishing, to equip the machines with cushions, improved second-row seats, to revise the size of storage compartments for small items, and to equip electric cars with wireless charging for smartphones.
Earlier Tesla expanded the range of branded accessories and introduced a limited series of surfboards. Surfboards, which are finished with a matte and glossy coating, similar to that used on electric vehicles, are created with the company Lost Surfboards and cost $ 1500 each.
