Tesla’s unique infotainment system already ranks first in the market in terms of functionality and variety. Nevertheless, the company is going to make it even more entertaining and interactive.
Elon Musk, the founder and head of Tesla, during a conversation with reporters revealed plans for a proprietary multimedia system. He wants the first place in innovation, capabilities, upgrades, technical equipment and entertainment opportunities to remain with them. According to him, they will create an information and multimedia system that provides “the maximum pleasure you can get in a car.”
Tesla has long been offering unique infotainment features that competitors don’t have. This includes car steering wheel games, various jokes and Easter eggs. Most recently, the company added karaoke mode. Also, recently, it has become possible to watch videos from YouTube and other streaming services.
Many brands are trying to catch up with Tesla in terms of multimedia capabilities. To do this, they collaborate with global Internet giants such as Google, Apple, Amazon.
In the future, car multimedia systems may be able to monetize. In other words, the owner will begin to show ads, or recommend “special” places in the navigator. Even Tesla does not rule out this possibility.
Meanwhile, Tesla has collected over 146 thousand orders for the Cybertruck electric pickup truck. At the same time, as the head of the company, Elon Musk, noted, Tesla specifically did not conduct any large-scale advertising campaigns.
