Tesla starts delivering Model 3 Standard RangeMay 30, 2019
The most affordable equipment American electric car (Standard Range) is estimated at 35,000 dollars. Such a car will not receive autopilot, support for some software services, heated rear seats.
Tesla has finally begun to deliver the basic version of the all-electric Model 3 sedan. This equipment was called the Standard Range. I must say that this step was a complete surprise, as brand CEO Elon Musk said recently that it may take some time before the automaker finds himself in a situation that allows him to produce and deliver the cheapest version of the sedan to the market.
After Tesla began accepting orders for its long-awaited novelty, the company has never actually delivered these versions of the model for some time.
During this time, many changes in prices and features have been announced for all current Model 3 options.
Recently it became known that the number of orders for the basic version of the Standard Range for $ 35,000 was minimal. Instead, people seem to opt for Standard Range Plus. It is slightly more expensive and includes the Autopilot as a standard option. The automaker is doing everything possible to sell these versions of the sedan as quickly as possible making various discounts, while selling the base model. It is important to note that the basic version is the same car, only with limited software functions and technologies.
“The power reserve of the basic version of the Model 3 will be 354 km, the built-in music streaming service, navigation with real-time traffic visualization and heated seats will also be disabled using the software. When it comes to equipment, the two versions of the car, which now cost between $ 35,400 and $ 39,900 are completely identical” – the official statement said.
