The electric supercar Tesla Roadster second generation will be able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 2 seconds, and its maximum speed will exceed 400 km/h
Tesla Motors has published in its Instagram video, which shows the rapid acceleration of the new generation electric Roadster supercar. “From zero to 60 miles per hour faster than you read this message,” – said the caption to the video.
Recall, the prototype of the second generation Tesla Roadster debuted in the fall of 2017. The car was equipped with three electric motors, allowing the coupe to accelerate from zero to 96 km / h in 1.9 seconds. The quarter-mile (402 m) drag distance is 8.9 seconds, and its maximum speed exceeds 400 km per hour.
At the same time, Tesla’s test-pilot Emil Buret noted that these are very “cautious” preliminary indicators, so the product will turn out to be even more dynamic. Subsequently, the head of Tesla Elon Musk said that the serial Roadster will be one of the fastest cars in the world.
According to preliminary data, the release of Tesla Roadster will begin no earlier than 2020.
