Tesla refuses seven-day return policyOctober 18, 2020
American automaker is canceling 7-day return policy for all new electric vehicles. Dissatisfied customers will now be directed to Tesla’s service department.
“Owning a Tesla vehicle means you are driving one of the most advanced, most efficient and safest vehicles. We are confident that you will be happy with your new car, so we give you time to test and enjoy your new Tesla car. In accordance with the terms and conditions of this policy, if you are unhappy with your vehicle, you can return it to us within seven (7) calendar days, ”- such text may be found by customers on the main support page on the manufacturer’s website when ordering a Tesla vehicle.
Elon Musk proudly stated that he does not doubt his products so much that he allows a quick return of the Tesla car if for any reason the buyer does not like it. Obviously, this is far from being the case, since quite imperceptibly, in the blink of an eye, a change took place, which seems to be of a global nature.
According to the latest foreign media reports, Tesla is no longer offering its famous 7-day return policy, which allowed customers to return the car they just bought and receive a full refund within a week without question. The line about the possibility of a quick return disappeared from the support page.
The seven-day return policy came in handy, as it was bought online by the customer and made it possible to leave the vehicle with the dealer due to possible problems. Now, if a customer finds problems with a brand new car, he will have to sign up to an authorized service center.
