Tesla plans to build a factory in TexasFebruary 6, 2020
Tesla’s CEO is again using Twitter to possibly announce some news about his company.
Elon Musk tweeted only two words: “Giga Texas” and added a poll with options “Hell Yeah” and “Nope”. Obviously, this is all that is needed for large investments these days.
The American company has not officially announced any additional Gigafactory other than those already built and under construction. Tesla has three businesses in the United States, as well as a new one located near Shanghai in China, and one to be built outside of Berlin, Germany.
An additional facility can help a company keep up with the demand for its future products. During a “financial challenge” campaign that began in the fourth quarter of 2019, Musk said that the company will only build some of its Semi electric trucks because it uses most of its own batteries in Model 3 and the upcoming Model Y.
During the conversation, Musk also announced that he would hold the so-called “Battery Day” in April, an event that is likely to give the company a chance to talk about battery production. According to journalists, this event would be an ideal place to announce the new production of batteries in Texas.
This potential Texas Gigafactory may be what Trump talked about last month, although it is unlikely that the company will build the facility on the state simply because, as the President of the United States put it, “he should because we help him, so he should help us “.
