Tesla refitted 21 Model S for the needs of its own mobile service teams in the UK. Cars will be used to transport the tools and spare parts needed for repair.
From a conventional lift, service cars are distinguished by the absence of rear seats. In their place is mounted a rack with several drawers. It is made as a single element and is installed on the regular anchorages of the seats. In addition, the electric car is equipped with compressors, a charger for electric tools and a coffee machine.
The front trunk, in which the upholstery is removed and the floor is reinforced, is also used to store tools.
Departure of mobile service specialists Tesla is carried out within 72 hours after the registration of the application. Work can be done without the owner of cars, since it can unlock it remotely through applications for smartphones. While the machines are used for simple operations, but in the future the company intends to carry out more serious repairs with the help of visiting brigades.
The Tesla Model S is available in Modifications 75D, 100D and P100D. Machines differ in the capacity of a battery pack-75 or 100 kilowatt-hours-and the total power of electric motors. For the top P100D, the output is 762 horsepower and 931 Nm of torque. From a stand to 100 km/h such a liftback is able to accelerate in 2.4 seconds.
