Tesla Model 3 will be faster with the new updateDecember 20, 2019
New software can be downloaded “over the air” using a special application on your smartphone.
Tesla has prepared an update for the Model 3 electric sedan with a twin-engine installation. And if in October the brand offered a free update for this model (with it, the peak return increased by about 5%), then you will have to pay for a new software. They ask for $ 2,000 for him. The update is called Acceleration Boost. It is able to accelerate the Long Range Dual Motor version from zero to 97 km / h in 3.9 seconds instead of the previous figure of 4.4 seconds.
This acceleration brings the sedan closer to the top-end modification of the Model 3 Performance, which boasts an acceleration time of 3.2 seconds.
One of the owners of Tesla Model 3 installed both updates on his electric car and shared observations. His measurements were published by Electrek. So, after the first 5 percent upgrade, the electric car delivered 333 kW (452.7 hp) of peak power, and it spent a little more than nine seconds on the “first hundred” (acceleration to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds). With the paid Acceleration Boost update, the maximum power plant output has increased to 504.4 hp. (371 kW), and acceleration rates were 3.8 seconds (acceleration to 60 mph) and about 8.5 seconds (acceleration to 100 mph).
