Tesla Model 3 sales in China tripledJune 9, 2020
This trend is explained not only by the return of the Chinese economy to growth after the coronavirus epidemic, but also by its great popularity and favorable conditions.
The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) has reported sales statistics for Tesla Model 3 electric premium cars in China. Data was published on Monday, June 8th. At the end of May, Tesla dealers in China were able to sell 11,095 electric sedans, which is three times higher than sales in April, when the volume amounted to 3,635 copies. Such a sharp sale has several explanations at once.
The first is China’s recovery from the crisis after the coronavirus pandemic. One of the support measures was the provision of subsidies to citizens for the purchase of new cars. Also, due to the coronavirus pandemic and falling sales, Tesla decided to lower car prices, which led to increased demand. At the same time, Tesla cars in China were already cheaper due to subsidies from the PRC Government.
Recall that they are provided to companies that manufacture and sell electric cars in China.
According to many experts, thanks to these factors, the sales volume of Tesla machines will continue to grow in the near future. Another reason is called the lack of decent competition in China at the moment
